This is the first time that Wine Australia and New Zealand Winegrowers have teamed up in the Nordics and the first time that we’ve run a tasting in Sweden since 2019.
The Aussies and Kiwis are good mates, with lots in common. Fine wine, great food, stunning scenery, the cool Southern Ocean and also our cool Antipodean attitude.
Our wines are an expression of our distinctive terroirs and the vibrant communities that craft them. Perfecting traditional techniques and inventing our own ways of doing things, we push the boundaries in the pursuit of the most diverse, thrilling wines in the world.
More than 450 wines from 42 regions across Australia and New Zealand will be showcased at the event – including regional heroes like Margaret River Chardonnay, old vine Barossa Shiraz, red blends from Hawke’s Bay and Central Otago Pinot Noir.
Alternative varieties and new-wave styles will also be on show such as Nero d’Avola from McLaren Vale, natural wines from Marlborough, Pet Nat wines, and low and no alcohol wines.
The tasting is an opportunity to meet winemakers and winery owners, from emerging stars to big names. Greywacke founder and winemaker Kevin Judd, who put Cloudy Bay and Marlborough on the map in the 1980s, will be pouring his wines. 919 Wines founder, Jenny Semmler, will be introducing her low-input, organic Touriga Nacional Tempranillo and Durif, made in Australia’s Riverland region.
