Nestled in the foothills of the Snowy Mountains in New South Wales, Tumbarumba is halfway between Sydney and Melbourne and less than three hours’ drive from Canberra.
The weather is cool, with the days often crisp and sunny and the nights cold. Summer days are warm, and winter brings occasional snow.
These are typical high-mountain soils with a gritty, granular quality.
Elegant wines with fresh acidity and restrained flavours of peach and citrus. Chardonnay is also used as a base for the region’s top-quality sparkling wines.
