The crisp, cool climate is strongly influenced by the region’s altitude. Cool evenings and plenty of sunshine hours give the Upper Goulburn a natural advantage for producing premium wines known for their purity.
Head north east from Melbourne and you’ll arrive in the town of Mansfield in well under three hours. Most vineyards are planted in the region’s west, with the east rising to meet popular Mount Buller and the Great Dividing Range.
