Wine Description
Cherry sap and strawberry are framed by long lean lines of tannin and acid. A darker blanket of tar, burnt orange and tea cake keeps the wine svelte and savoury. The finish is long and florals reveal themselves in the length. A delicate wine of poise. Time will be rewarding
Winemaker's Bio
No stranger to the world of winemaking, Alister Timms grew
up on his family’s vineyards on the Bellarine Peninsula, planting
vines at the age of 10.
After studying oenology at the University of Adelaide, Alister
joined Shadowfax as assistant vineyard manager. He then spent
time managing his family’s winery, Kilgour Estate and travelled
to Italy to spend two vintages in Tenuta di Valgiano in Tuscany.
Alister later returned to Shadowfax to manage the winery’s
vineyards and establish the new Little Hampton estate in the
Macedon Ranges before becoming Chief Winemaker in 2017.
