Pale gold in colour our 2023 Mariposa Moscato is our finest expression of the Moscato style. The nose is lifted with aromas of lemon pith, fresh grapes, tropical fruit, and musk. On the palate, our Moscato comes alive with vibrant and mouth-filling flavours of passionfruit, citrus sherbet and crushed white grapes. The mild frizzante effect on the palate adds to its lively and fresh character while providing a balanced and seamless finish.
Winemaker's Bio
Toni Pla Bou has worked in the wine industry for twenty five years, working for Houghton Wines, Coldstream Hills, Evans & Tate, Berton Vineyards and as a flying winemaker in Corsica, Roussillon, Gaillac and Corbière with Jean Marc Lafage. Studies in Philosophy and French have informed his understanding of wine, in relation to style, aesthetic and cultural value. Having a Catalonian heritage, Toni has always been passionate about wines from either side of the Pyrenean border: Grenache, Tempranillo, Grenache Blanc, Macabeo and more. Through his winemaking, Toni is inspired by the topographical and climatic affinities between the Alpine Valleys and the European Pyrenees.
