Vine-dried Shiraz is blended with our traditional Shiraz to create the DOUBLE PASS, which gives this classic variety a juicier and richer twist. Delightful scents of raspberry and mulberry come to the forefront. These fragrances are harmonized by subtle mocha and toasty oak notes, creating a balanced bouquet. Dominated by the essence of strawberry and raspberry, there's also a gentle interplay of dark chocolate and coffee-infused oak complexity in the mid-palate. Soft tannins and fine acidity contribute to the wine's overall length and enhance the fruity character.

Winemaker's Bio
Peter Gajewski is an accomplished winemaker with over 30 years’ experience working in the wine industry. Peter spent 24 years at Penfolds, which included a stint working alongside the great Max Schubert, before moving on to be the Chief Winemaker for Hickinbotham’s ARH Wines, Roclands and Terrel Estate Wines. Peter has travelled extensively overseas and is very knowledgeable about the market requirements. With an innate knowledge of our vineyards, having established the Scotts Creek vineyards as a young man, is now using the estate grown grapes again for Byrne Vineyards. Peter’s sense of integrity and innovation is key to the highest production standards reflected in Byrne Vineyard wines.
