Wine Description
This Pinot Noir Rosé is a testament to this region’s cool climate elegance, capturing the essence of its Alpine Valleys origins. Bright, complex acidity complements the natural varietal fruit expression, resulting in a wine of exquisite balance and vibrancy. Aromas of wild strawberry, cranberry and a spicy lift are interwoven with secondary toast and cream characters. The palate reveals layers of intense cherries, savoury raspberry and a touch of blood orange, enhanced by a silky, mouthwatering texture, weight and persistence, and a long complex finish.
Winemaker's Bio
Toni Pla Bou has worked in the wine industry for twenty five years, working for Houghton Wines, Coldstream Hills, Evans & Tate, Berton Vineyards and as a flying winemaker in Corsica, Roussillon, Gaillac and Corbière with Jean Marc Lafage. Studies in Philosophy and French have informed his understanding of wine, in relation to style, aesthetic and cultural value. Having a Catalonian heritage, Toni has always been passionate about wines from either side of the Pyrenean border: Grenache, Tempranillo, Grenache Blanc, Macabeo and more. Through his winemaking, Toni is inspired by the topographical and climatic affinities between the Alpine Valleys and the European Pyrenees.
