Winemaking is a game of quick wit, experience and endurance. Each year Mother Nature challenges us and each year we respond. We know how to play the game. The resulting wine is captivating; light on its feet, yet full of character and perfect with food sourced from the land.
2017 a cool vintages and the slow ripening conditions were excellent for Cabernet, producing an elegant Cabernet Sauvignon with great varietal character. The wine was blended with a dash of the unusual variety of Saperavi which provides rich juicy soft fruits to the mid palate. The wine was matured in a combination of French (60%) and American (40%) oak.
A medium bodied Cabernet Sauvignon. Rich blackberry, blueberry and juicy blackcurrant meld with dark chocolate and savoury notes of mixed herbs and oak spice. Dusty tannins that give great structure and a tight finish. Drink to 2024.
