Winemaker Bio
Born and raised in Naracoorte, South Australia, winemaker Trent Nankivell grew up being surrounded by the Wrattonbully wine region so it came as no surprise that he headed off to Adelaide University to undertake a Bachelor of Agricultural Science majoring in Oenology.
In his final year of university Trent had the opportunity to apply to Orlando Wyndham (now Pernod Ricard) for their 24 month Graduate Program. This was a once in a life time opportunity to kick start his career in the wine industry through a tailored development program. The Graduate Program is driven by passionate wine industry professionals; keen to share their knowledge with the next future vintage of talent.
On the success of his application he was given extensive life experiences on the machinations of the behind the scenes of the wine industry. In August, 2017 Trent Nankivell joined the Hollick Estates winemaking team as the Chief Winemaker and we are delighted to announce that his first wine released won gold at it’s first wine show. At the recent Limestone Coast Wine Show the 2018 The Bard Sauvignon Blanc won gold.
