Winery Overview
Established in 1993 by Justin and Julie Ardill, Reillys Wines remains one of the oldest family owned wineries in the Clare Valley.
We specialise in producing premium red and white wines sourced from our estate vineyards in the Clare Valley.
The name Reillys stems from our rich history dating back to 1856 when Irish shoemaker Hugh Reilly settled in the township of Mintaro, building his home ’Reilly’s Cottage’ from the local slate.
Reilly’s Cottage is now the Cellar Door and Restaurant where visitors can sample and buy from a wide range of estate-grown wines and indulge in a gourmet lunch featuring the freshest local produce. Reillys also have heritage B&B cottage accommodation available so that you can extend your stay and explore more wineries, local food producers, and everything else that the Clare Valley has to offer.

Winemaker Bio
As Winemaker Justin Ardill says, ‘great wines are made in the vineyard’. He works
with viticulturalist Rob Smyth to ensure the estate vineyards are expertly managed to
ensure optimum fruit quality and yields. The vineyards are also dry grown meaning
they rely on natural rainfall and are non-irrigated producing very low yields of rich,
concentrated fruit. Each parcel produces regionally distinct wines showcasing the terroir of the vineyards and region. Winemaker Justin continues to use traditional winemaking
techniques of hand picking, open fermentation, hand plunging, basket pressing and oak barrel maturation which allow the quality terroir to truly shine.
