Wine Description
Named after winemaker, Adrian Munari's, late brother Barry Munari who considered himself to be an excellent grape picker. The name is coined from a classic Australian phrase, 'to be a gun' at something is to be the best. Barry Munari wasn't the best grape picker that they'd seen but he was the funniest.
The Shiraz/Cabernet is a traditional Australian wine blend highlighting the best of both varieties, sweet fruit from Shiraz and depth and structure from the Cabernet.
"Game and leather mix with concentrated black fruits and spice. Red berries show up on the palate bringing a brightness. Texture is creamy, oak and tannin looking integrated. Everything is in its place.' Jenni Port, Halliday Wine Companion 2021

Winemaker's Bio
Since completing his Associate Diploma of Applied Science (Viticulture), buying the 57 acre property and retiring from the teaching industry, Adrian Munari has built a reputation for fruit driven, elegant and structured wines.
With a passion for exploring wine style and experimenting with new varieties, over his thirty years, Adrian has had plenty of experience with traditional varieties and as well as alternative varieties such as Sangiovese, Verdelho, Vermentino, Malbec & Petit Verdot.
A recent career highlight was winning the wine of the show at the 2021 Heathcote Wine Show with a white wine, the first time it had happened in the history of the show and in only the second year of producing wine with Garganega.
“We want to offer easy drinking wines of great value to those who have no tasting experience and to those who are seasoned veterans”, Adrian Munari.
