Three generations of Barry family winemakers have shaped Jim Barry Wines into the benchmark Australian winery that it is today. Founded by industry pioneer, Jim Barry and his wife Nancy in 1959 and located in South Australia’s Clare Valley, this family owned and operated winery, produces premium quality wines that express a sense of place. Jim Barry Wines produce their fruit from a mosaic of unique vineyard sites across the Clare Valley. This access to high-quality, estate-grown fruit has been instrumental in the development of a number of icon wines, including The Armagh Shiraz, The McRae Wood Shiraz and The Florita Riesling. Jim Barry Wines is a proud, founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine.

Winemaker Bio
Tom Barry is a third-generation winemaker at Jim Barry Wines. He graduated from the University of Adelaide-Waite Campus (formerly Roseworthy Agricultural College), with the same degree in Oenology that his late grandfather Jim received 63 years earlier and his father in 1985. Jim Barry Wines is the first family-owned winery in Australia to have three generations of Roseworthy/Waite graduates.
