Explore the history and evolution of Australian Chardonnay and Shiraz
Australia’s signature varieties, Chardonnay and Shiraz, grow in nearly all of our 65 wine regions and produce a huge range of styles from affordable delicious drinks to magnificent, age-worthy fine wines. They helped put Australia on the world wine map back in the 1980s, but a lot has changed since then.
Explore the history and evolution of Australian Chardonnay and Shiraz in this fascinating masterclass with 10 wines from 8 regions. Discover regional and stylistic differences, winemaking techniques of new wave producers, and try fresh, elegant cool climate expressions.
Taste wines from iconic wineries and pioneering winemakers from famous regions like Barossa Valley and Margaret River and lesser-known areas such as Great Southern and Langhorne Creek.
The line-up features Chardonnay from Anvers Wines, Frankland Estate, Leeuwin Estate, d'Arenberg and Giant Steps. Followed by Shiraz from Kaesler, Tyrrell's, Noon, Shaw + Smith and Ochota Barrels. Browse the wineries below and find out more by clicking through to their profile page.
We also invite you to explore classic and contemporary styles in the free-pour tasting, which features more than 35 wines from across Australia. Discover organic and biodynamic wines, minimal intervention and natural wines, and new wave styles and alternative varieties like Chenin Blanc, Marsanne and Touriga Nacional.
All of the wines are available in Belgium. If you're looking to expand your Australian portfolio, this is a great opportunity to taste a diverse range under one roof. We're sure you’ll find something your customers will love.
