Felix Caspar Wines
Margaret River , Western Australia
Felix Caspar Wines is a boutique, family-owned winery in Margaret River, Western Australia, founded in 2017 by brothers Ruben Felix and Phillip Caspar. We make clean, premium wines from single vineyards, with fruit hand-picked from gravel loam soils and a minimal intervention approach in the winery. Wild fermentation and basket pressing let each site and season come through clearly in the glass.
Our story began with a single Cabernet Sauvignon, which became "Murray", our flagship wine, made every vintage since. The range has grown into a tight collection of single-block and single-variety wines, each named after someone close to us. It includes "Morris" Malbec, "Birdie" Cabernet Franc, "Sidney" Nebbiolo, "Rudy" Cabernet Franc Malbec, "Ida" Chenin Blanc, "Pippa" Chardonnay, "Roro" Merlot Rosé, "Bobbles" Pet Nat, the preservative-free "Original X" Cabernet Sauvignon and "X3", an Italian Grape Ale. Volumes are small and some wines are limited to one or two barrels a year.
For trade buyers, Felix Caspar offers the pedigree of Margaret River's classic varieties with a distinctly boutique point of difference. Our wines are clean, precise and made in small batches from a single vineyard, with a personal story behind every label. They are already poured and sold by respected independent wine bars, restaurants and bottle shops in Perth, Margaret River, Sydney and Melbourne. We're looking to partner with like-minded importers and distributors who value premium, small-batch Australian wine.

Ruben Felix James, Phillip Caspar James
Brothers Ruben Felix and Phillip Caspar founded Felix Caspar Wines in Margaret River in 2017. Before that, Ruben honed his craft at some of the region's most respected producers, including Leeuwin Estate, Cape Mentelle and Flametree Wines. Together the brothers share a simple philosophy: grow exceptional fruit, then step back and let it shine with minimal intervention. Their focus is clean, premium boutique wine, made with traditional techniques including wild fermentation, basket pressing and ageing in old French oak. Their first vintage, a Cabernet Sauvignon, became the "Murray", and the range has since grown into a collection of characterful single-block wines, each named after someone close to the family.
