Godswalk is the pinnacle of Tarrawatta, epitomising strength, elegance and finesse. It is the name of the legendary stallion and of the verdant valley at neighbouring Lindsay Park where the champion grazed. Now, it graces a wine that pays tribute to our land and terroir.
Each harvest we select our finest barrels of wine, regardless of grape variety or location, to be blended as Godswalk. The final union is determined not only by their individual quality, but also by the way they combine as an ensemble to create a true synergy of flavours and textures. The 2018 vintage includes four exceptional barrels from our old block 1 Shiraz and two barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon from our elevated Block 13.

This is rich and complex with beautifully polished tannins that give energy and form to this, otherwise juicy and fruity red. It’s full and flavorful with plenty of fruit that shows plum, walnut and floral character with some black truffle. Very long. First release. About 1,800 bottles made. A blend of 75% shiraz and 25% cabernet sauvignon. Very drinkable now, but better in 2022

Winemaker's Bio
Craig is a winemaker with a very rare set of qualities that makes him one of only handful of Barossa winemakers able to realise the true potential of the Barossa’s best vineyards. Prior to starting the Tarrawatta project and establishing his family winery ‘Izway Wines’ Craig was the chief winemaker at Torbreck Vintners (2002 to 2017). It was during this time that he first met Nick Radford, buying grapes from his family vineyard and as neighbours in Seppeltsfied (western Barossa Valley).
Craig has been working with our Ambervale vineyard since 2008, negotiating its purchase for the Pan family when the opportunity arose in 2017. Craig and Nick now work closely and dedicatedly to produce the best wines possible from our Tarrawatta vineyards.
