Founded in 1997 by Andrew and Susie Nugent. Originally a dairy farm in Woodside in the then emerging Adelaide Hills wine region of South Australia. Bird in Hand is a family-owned winery that champions social inclusion and advocacy through artisan wine. We believe in the aspirational side of winemaking – the ability to be boundlessly creative while relentlessly pursuing excellence.
