Winery Overview
Peccavi is the best-kept secret of Western Australian wine. Located on a rolling property at the highest point of the Margaret River region, Peccavi creates wine that marries the unrivalled qualities of its site with a vision and ambition to make world-class wine of international style. And it has the results from the world’s most prestigious wine shows to prove it’s headed down the right path.
With a stable of wines that includes the best Merlot in Australia, two of the country’s finest wines from Cabernet Sauvignon, one of its finest and best-performed whites from Chardonnay and the Margaret River’s finest Shiraz, Peccavi is punching well above its weight as an individual vineyard producer. Add to that one of Australia’s best and longest-living Sauvignon Blanc - made in a style identifiable to the Pavilion Blanc of Chateau Margaux ¬– and it’s possible to see that founder Jeremy Muller has painstakingly matched variety and clone to the precise terroirs of Peccavi’s highly varied site.
It’s an over-used comment that the very finest wines improve significantly with cellaring, but this is something that Peccavi’s entire range achieves from vintage to vintage. Even the first wine made from the estate, the 2007 Shiraz, is both showing the rewards of time in the bottle and the potential to develop further.
And, for those less patient but perhaps only marginally less demanding, Peccavi releases its less expensive, earlier maturing No Regrets wines tailored to meet the needs of the daily wine drinker. These wines, featuring the classic regional blends of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, plus Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon, regularly exceed the quality achieved by the first labels of many Margaret River producers.
Jeremy Muller is today even more passionate about Peccavi than ever before and the very best wines are only now beginning to emerge.

Winemaker Bio
Bruce Dukes
Chief Winemaker
Bruce, a west Australian native, has enjoyed three decades of valuable winegrowing experience, shared between iconic producers in the Napa Valley and Margaret River. His winemaking philosophy is best described by wine expert Professor Steven Kolpan who noted in his book ‘A Sense of Place’ that, “Bruce Dukes articulates the art and science of winemaking with elegance and ease. Bruce knows that the finest wines are made vine by vine, berry by berry…”
Bruce describes his training in Agronomy at University of Western Australia, and a Master’s Degree from the University of California, Davis, as the foundations of his approaches in sustainable winegrowing. “However, the fun part is layering in passion, artistic and intuitive flair”.
Remi Guise
Senior Winemaker
Born in Cape Province South Africa, Remi completed a Viticulture and Winemaking degree at the University of Stellenbosch in 2006. He then took up a position as Assistant Winemaker at the historic and iconic, 300 year old Meerendal Wine Estate in Durbanville, in South Africa.
Remi first visited Margaret River in 2007 and never left, joining Bruce’s winemaking team in early 2008. Since then, Remi has worked his way to the role of Senior Winemaker. Remi brings an intimate understanding of the translation of land to wine, and a dogged obsession with constantly pushing quality and style to the next level. Remi is now a living breathing piece of Margaret River terroir.
