Everything at Pindarie is in its right place, every hand placed stone and every planted vine. Each variety we grow offers a different taste to discover; all with exceptional depth of flavour, vibrancy and liveliness.
The Pindarie sustainable farm on Barossa’s Western Ridge is a place of natural beauty, magnificent views and lovingly restored buildings.
Husband and wife, Tony Brooks and Wendy Allan are current custodians of the Pindarie farm since Tony took over from his grandfather in 1990. Pindarie, Aboriginal for " Hilly Place", is located at the gateway to the Barossa Valley. Situated on 750 acres, with a mix of sheep grazing amongst 110-year-old olive trees, thriving pastures and sloping vineyards, what was once a run-down and over-cleared farm has become a sustainable property with Tony and Wendy planting over 12,500 trees in the last 30 years.
Today the restored stables and grain store are home to Pindarie’s cellar door and restaurant where Pindarie welcomes guests from around the world as one of the top visited cellar doors in the Barossa. Pindarie remains a family owned and operated farm and wine business with Wendy and Tony living on the property’s historic homestead with their three children.
Pindarie wines is a regional leader of emerging variety viticulture and home to compelling classic varietals that gives wine lovers the expertise and quality promise to confidently open doors and discover new favourites.
