Wine Description
Mount Langi Ghiran is a pioneer of cool climate winemaking and one of the first vineyards in Australia to plant Pinot Gris. Scarce and limited, we were able to source our first Pinot Gris cuttings from two small growers in 1994.
This wine captures the intense flavour profile and acid structure that is reflective of our cool climate.
The result is an aromatic wine, with a varietal core, textural depth and fine acidity.

Winemaker's Bio
Winemaker Adam Louder was born and bred in the Grampians with deep ties to Mount Langi Ghiran starting his career here in 1998 as a young cellar hand under Trevor Mast - one of the most iconic figures of cool climate winemaking. Adam worked in wineries across the Pyrenees, Margaret River (including our sister winery Xanadu), Bordeaux and Napa Valley before returning to Langi in 2016 with 32 harvests under his belt.
Drawn back to the relaxed lifestyle of the region along with his love of Grampians Shiraz he says “it’s hard to deny how unique the site of Langi actually is. Not only do we have one of the longest growing seasons which adds to the complexity; the nature and the landscape are amazing and we have a strong united team all aiming to make some of the best wines in the country.”
