Wine Description
Cabernet Sauvignon is the Offspring of two similar sounding grapes following a chance crossing in the seventeenth century. Growers suspected this due to the shared characteristics with both Franc and Blanc. It’s also pretty fly (for a red wine).
The juicy blue fruits flow through the medium-bodied palate and mingle with brambly and sweet spices. Fine-grained tannins give the juicy fruit balance and a long and fruity finish.
Winemaker's Bio
Langmeil’s family winemaker, Paul Lindner, is a sixth generation of the Barossa’s Lindner family, and a third generation Australian-Italian, which may explain his love for making wine.
Paul’s passion for winemaking has always been to combine old world and new world with minimal handling and intervention, to ensure the fruit’s full potential is captured. By keeping true to each variety, and the subtleties derived from the different soils of individual vineyard sites throughout the region, Paul feels he can capture the true taste of Barossa.
