Wine Description
Confluence means flowing together or a meeting place. Just like the Murray joins to Darling River to form one and cultures and traditions come together to create our diverse river community, Mataro and Durif have soaked up the Riverland sun to give us rich fruit flavours in a seamless blend. A meeting place where all are welcome.
This single vineyard and estate grown wine is deep purple in colour with a dark chocolate, blackberry and cigar box bouquet. Blackcurrant confected cherries fill the mouth, finishing with a smooth and velvety tannin structure with hints of thyme.
Mataro and Durif underwent sperate ferments after spending 10 days on skins. Following pressing , 20% of each wine was placed in old French Oak barrels for 15 months before bottling in February 2024.
