Wine Description
Perfumed cool climate Shiraz that’s medium bodied with a little lick of spice. Loaded with dark cherries and red plums interlaced with a cured meat lift. The palate leads with a bright and elegant fruit intensity, the use of whole berries shines through with a lovely slippery composure. The finely boned tannins shaping a long palate supported by a lick of oak char on the finish.

Winemaker's Bio
Sarah Crowe began her wine career with 12 years in the Hunter Valley. Within three years she had become Brokenwood’s Assistant Winemaker. She also completed International harvests in Oregon and the Rhone Valley.
Sarah joined the Yarra Yering team in 2013 to focus on one single iconic vineyard site. The release of her first wines, the 2014 vintage saw her named James Halliday’s Winemaker of the Year 2017. Yarra Yering has been named Australian Winery of the Year by James Halliday and The Real Review (twice).
Now in the role of Winemaker and General Manager, Sarah hopes to continue to build on the reputation that Dr BB Carrodus started in 1969 with the first vineyard plantings at Yarra Yering.
