Wine Description
Tom is on a mission to find the best combination for a textural skin-contact white/orange, this year the makeup included: Grenache Blanc (50%), which spent 8 days on its skins, blended with co-fermented Fiano (35%) & Vermentino (15%), which spent 14 days on their skins.
30% of the blend then spent 2 months in neutral French oak to add to the wine's complexity with a hint of hazelnut at the finish.
Winemaker's Bio
Tom, with his roots deep in agricultural science, sought a change in 2017. Venturing away from cropping and sheep farming, he found his calling in the rolling vineyards of Geelong, Victoria. Entranced by grape growing and winemaking, he honed his craft through vintages in Geelong & California, USA. With his experience and a postgraduate degree in oenology tucked under his arm, Wilkie Wines came to life—a testament to Tom's passion, dedication and love for art, inviting you to experience the magic in every bottle.
