We use persons best friend, dogs, to invite people to try our fun, approachable but thoughtful wines. Beyond the Glass is all about a balance between traditional french techniques and restrained winemaking, with a dose of experimenting. Many of our wines are 'conventional light reds' in style, but are made with a very different approach to the way most people approache a Heathcote Shiraz, for example. We are all about sharing stories, in the form of thoughtful winemaking/experimenting. We are also about sustainability and strive for as much sustainably farmed fruit as we can get our hands on.

I say that I wear two hats in the cellar - the first is a restrained Rhône Valley experience inspired winemaking approach (soft, plush reds with healthy acidity). The 2nd hat is more of the experimental millennial in me - always told off in science class for wanting to try other things, I play with different techniques and such each year. Some wines are also just made because I love them, growing up in Melbourne I'll always love Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and a crisp dry Riesling.
