Winery Overview
A family-owned boutique winery established in 1996 and situated in the beautiful Eden Valley (Barossa) creating estate grown wines using sustainable regenerative farming practices. Voted the 2021 Australian Vineyard of the Year by Young Gun of Wines and more recently the 2023 trophy for viticultural excellence by the South Australian Wine Industry Association. Eden Hall Wines is certified under the Sustainable Wine growing scheme in both the vineyard and winery. The vineyard has the largest planting of native grasses anywhere in a vineyard in Australia, produces its own compost and compost teas on site and its power is produced 100% by solar. The vineyard has eliminated synthetic fertilizer from its practices and is managed by the 2018 Barossa Viticulturist of the year (Dan Falkenberg). The wines are made by Phil Lehmann, the son of the late great Peter Lehmann.

Winemaker Bio
Phil’s winemaking journey is impressive. Not only is he from one of the most famous winemaking families in the country, (his father was the late great Peter Lehmann), he has a wealth of experience covering all areas of the industry. Time spent in the Napa Valley, South Africa and Burgundy set up his journey, before winemaking stints at Yalumba, Peter Lehmann, Teusner and WD Wines confirmed his credentials. He was a finalist in the 2017 Gourmet Traveller Wine Winemaker of the Year, is a regular wine show judge and has a comprehensive knowledge of the industry from the vine to the bottle. Indeed Phil ‘walks the walk”, living in the Eden Valley and running his own family vineyard and wine brand (Max & Me). We are proud to share the same philosophies and values; Family, integrity, respect, hard work and pursuit of excellence.
