Red cherry and dried cranberries spill onto the palate. This generous Pinot has breadth and expanse, yet shows poise from seams of grown ripe tannins. There are complexities galore with dried herb and sandalwood interacting with cherry pith fruits. The palate is long and persistent yet light on its feet, bringing you back for more. This is a powerful Pinot and a fine example of cool climate, high altitude Macedon ranges Pinot Noir.

No stranger to the world of winemaking, Alister Timms grew up on his family’s vineyards on the Bellarine Peninsula, planting vines at the age of 10. After studying Oenology at the University of Adelaide, Alister joined Shadowfax as assistant vineyard manager. He then spent time managing his family’s winery, Kilgour Estate and travelled to Italy to spend two vintages in Tenuta di Valgiano in Tuscany. Alister later returned to Shadowfax to manage the winery’s vineyards and establish the new Little Hampton estate in the Macedon Ranges before becoming Chief Winemaker in 2017.
