Wine Description
Harvested at full maturity and received into the winery as soon as possible after picking, the fruit was immediately destemmed, pressed and floated to separate solids from the free run juice. A cultured yeast was used for fermentation, and the wine was allowed to remain on lees for several weeks prior to blending to develop texture. It then underwent fining and was bottled under screwcap to protect it from cork taint.
Pale straw with a lively green hue, this wine explodes with juicy citrus, tangy passionfruit & finishes fresh & clean.
Winemaker's Bio
Hamish Maguire is Shottesbrooke’s General Manager and Head Winemaker, and it is his mission is to build upon the legacy of his stepfather, Shottesbrooke founder, Nick Holmes.
After much experience gained travelling the world and studying the art of winemaking, Hamish’s passion continually drives Shottesbrooke’s expansion & evolution, whilst maintaining the high quality of wines for which it is known. As a result, Shottesbrooke is regularly recognised by various leading, and well respected global wine commentators, and has also been awarded an array of medals and trophies across both nationally and internationally accredited wine shows and competitions.
