A fine-boned yet medium bodied Chardonnay, with intense fruit and richness from partial malolactic fermentation, batonage and oak maturation. On the palate, juicy, tangy nectarine fruit adds beautifully to the rounded richness of the vintage. It has wonderful weight and drive, with an intensity, volume and length that belies the elegance of the structure.
Sandra de Pury has a degree in Oenology, an MBA and a Diploma in Hotel Management. She is also a qualified chef, and worked in kitchens in Hong Kong, Switzerland and USA. She eventually succumbed to her wine making heritage and returned to Yeringberg in 2000.
Sandra did an extended vintage in Bordeaux in 2006 and has travelled widely in wine producing regions of the world. She is currently President of the Board of the Yarra Valley Winegrowers Association.
