Wine Description
"Old Vines aren't good because they're old. They're good because they're good". Old man fruit was from an very old 80 years old vineyard in Barossa Valley.
The balance achieved in the vineyard between climate and terroir is translated into the wine
in the form of silky smooth tannins and a freshness of acidity.
Picked late when flavours display intense dark berry, black pepper and spicy fruits, the Old
Man is carefully crafted in the winery and then set to French oak (40% new) for 24 months in
preparation for bottling. Presenting with a deep ruby red colour a testament to the power and concentration that low yielding and seriously old vines provide. Offering rich aromatic bouquet of spices and berry fruits with subtle hues of oak.
