Wine Description
The true superstar grape variety from Spain and Portugal, Tempranillo thrives in the cool limestone soils of Padthaway.
The wine is medium to full-bodied with aromas of summer: strawberries, raspberries and a spoonful of vanilla scented cream. The palate is plush and smooth with all those summer fruits, a subtle hint of toasty oak and savoury fine tannins. Elegant and focused Landaire Tempranillo cuts through the richness of lamb and barbecued meats. Drink now to 2028

Of Swiss-heritage, Carolyn was born in country Victoria and studied Agriculture at Melbourne University, completing her PhD in the field of plant biochemistry at Adelaide University. Her post-doctoral work was at CSIRO in Adelaide. In 1998 Carolyn married David and moved to the Padthaway wine region and together they planted their premium vineyards and established Landaire Wines.
