Machine harvested, aged in French Oak barrels and oak staves for 9 months.
60% Cabernet 40% Merlot make this blend is very approachable. The lovely rich fleshy fruit of the Merlot filling out the palate and complimenting the more leaner style of the Cabernet a luscious mouthful of red wine made to enjoy.
Winemaker's Bio
Richard is a highly respected and decorated Australian winemaker whose career has spanned many decades, wine regions and global markets. He has been awarded the Jimmy Watson trophy for the best Australian red wine, and been the chief winemaker for leading Australian wine producers in the Margaret River and Clare Valley regions. In addition, he was the chief winemaker for large South African producer, KWV, for five years.
Richard understands the style of wines that CGW desires to produce and his input has been instrumental in crafting our premium and ultra premium wines.
