Estate Grown Cabernet Sauvignon 2018

The Rosenvale ESTATE GROWN range of wines are selected parcels across the 4 Vineyards on a total of 250 acres of our Family owned estates. The Rosenzweig vineyard which is grown on sandy brown loam over red clay and a deep limestone mix, this soil type is ideal for Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet was first planted on this vineyard was planted in 1969 These vines enjoy a small amount of additional food and supplementary water to help maintain then on tough days. The vine is trained to a single wire trellis system with lift wires. Detailed spur pruning gives better bunch positioning and a limited number of grapes per year.

95 POINTS - Wine Orbit It's splendidly lifted on the nose showing blackcurrant, thyme, clove, vanilla and roasted nut characters. The palate delivers terrific fruit intensity and fine texture, wonderfully supported by richly smooth mouthfeel and fine chalky tannins. A wonderfully composed cabernet. At its best: now to 2033.
