Established in 1997, Kilikanoon has transformed from its humble beginnings. The winery has evolved from a modest, inaugural vintage of four single vineyard wines into a Clare Valley institution, with the fascination of terroir being the driving force of Kilikanoon’s winemaking philosophy.
The winery’s cellar door is situated on the charming Kilikanoon property settlement of Penwortham and is open daily.
Hailing from one of the premium wine grape growing regions of the world, the powerful elegance of Kilikanoon Wines is the ultimate expression of Clare Valley terroir. A symphony of diverse and unique microclimates masterfully composed to deliver the highest quality and a distinctive style for each wine. Meticulous site selection and diverse terroir enable us to deliver impeccable quality year on year.
The diurnal temperature variation, hot days and cool nights, in Clare Valley is key to creating powerful and elegant wines, beautifully balanced with ripe fruit, natural acidity, tannin and oak.
Named “Best Australian Producer” in 2022 for a record ninth time at the Mundus Vini International Wine Awards, Kilikanoon has also been rated a “Five Red-Star Winery” for a record 18th year by James Halliday, recognising the very best of Australian winemaking excellence.
It is the ongoing commitment to this small, yet premium wine growing region and its diversity, that continues to craft some of Australia’s benchmark wines.
