Wine Description
Ethereal weight and beauty combined with only-just-tangible structure. This is a persuasive example, showing genuine perfume, powdery fruit, gentle exotic aromas of summer berries, red rose petals, deeper plum notes.
Cirillo Estate Wines 1850 Ancestor Vine Grenache was planted in 1848 in deep pale sand in Barossa’s Vine Vale sub-region. The balance between the primary fruit and the acid makes this a beautifully seamless wine that mimics Rhone styles with a plume of the perfumery and savouriness. The palate sees the slightest abrasion of tannin proclaims the formidable aging potential without drawing attention to the architectural elements within the wine.
