A co-ferment of Biodynamic Grenache (70%) and Mataro (30%) from the sandy Blewitt Springs subregion in McLaren Vale. Destemmed and fermented together wild in an open fermenter, pressed to large format neutral French oak. Pretty heady wine, lots of berry and orange peel notes, some Aussie herbs. Sweet fruited, but savoury as well, the mataro adding a dust of white pepper and blood orange freshness to curtail the generosity of the grenache.
