Wine Description
Pale straw in colour with jasmine flowers, yellow nectarines, vanilla and nougat on the nose. Flavours of yellow peach and green apple skins with notes of nutmeg on the back of the palate. A beautiful mouth feel with soft acidity has made for another stunning Pinnacle Chardonnay from Ross Hill. Harmonious and balanced, yet with intense fruit definitions, this wine shows great complexity and finesse.
Winemaker's Bio
Born and raised surrounded by wine in South Australia, Luke Steele earned the Oenology Silver Medal at the prestigious University of Adelaide and he has since amassed an enviable amount of winemaking experience, awards and accolades. He honed his craft in both warm and cool climates at renowned estates including Alkoomi Wines, Craggy Range Vineyards, Maison Chapoutier, Joseph Phelps Vineyards, Jim Barry Wines, Reh Kendermann, Skillogalee, Dr Konstantin Frank and Lerida Estate. Luke has been at the helm of the Ross Hill Winery since 2019 and has been working diligently to refine and refocus the delicious portfolio that Ross Hill is famous for.
