Wine Description
Blackberry, sage leaf, mint, and cocoa. An elegant palate, flavours of plum, forest fruits and mocha, with some underlying savoury notes such as dry herb. Integrated oak characters compliment the fruit, the tannins are fine with good persistence.
Winemaker's Bio
Rory Parkes, Chief Winemaker always had an interest in Agriculture. After working in the vineyard during the summer holidays, he decided to pursue Viticulture and Oenology. The science of winemaking got him hooked, and he loved the way it combined agriculture with science and art.
Rory joined Byron & Harold with a wealth of industry experience, including a prior role with one of Western Australia's most well-known producers, within which he was responsible for a broad range of wines on a commercial scale of over 500,000 cases per annum.
Rory's goals include furthering his studies and knowledge, to keep growing as a winemaker, and winning the Jimmy Watson trophy!
