Wine Description
Benediction is a unique red wine blend of three Austrian noble grape varieties - Saint Laurent, Blaufrankisch and Zweigelt. Two of the varieties (Saint Laurent and Zweigelt) have close genetic links to Pinot Noir, while Blaufrankisch has traditionally been stylistically compared to Pinot Noir, despite having no confirmed genetic link to this variety.
Benediction 2020 has a beautiful garnet colour and a nose full of cherries, beetroot and forest-floor aromatics. The palate is vibrant and captivating with fresh red fruits, gentle crushed herbs, wild mushroom and hints of cedar, all elegantly framed with a juicy acidity and fine, tea-like tannin.
