Wine Description
Stickleback is Heartland's ever changing blend. The name comes from a fish that stands on its head and wiggles to get the attention of a partner. This shows the extent we will go to in order to get your attention. Most vintages see a dominance of either Cabernet Sauvignon or Shiraz depending on the conditions. These are most often supplemented with Dolcetto and Lagrein, but other varietals can often contribute. The current vintage is Cabernet Sauvignon driven with Lagrein and Shiraz adding complexity and character. The key here is consistent quality at an affordable price.

Ben Glaetzer is one of Australia's best known winemakers. Here he has brought his considerable skill to bear in order to create a quality red wine that bats well above its weight to offer great flavour at an affordable price.
