Brockenchack Wines
Eden Valley , South Australia
Winery Overview
One family, connecting wine-enthusiasts across the globe, through a shared love of storytelling and fine-wines.
The family reunion begins with your first memorable bottle of Brockenchack wine.
Family is at the core of everything Brockenchack does. Brockenchack (pronounced Brock-en-shack) is named after Trevor and Marilyn Harch’s four grandchildren; Bronte, Mackenzie, Charli & Jack – who, as young adults, are now stepping in to carry on the family legacy.
Trevor and Marilyn founded Brockenchack in 2007, with the vision of creating wines that are honest, inviting and that highlight the best of the unique region they call home. Since then Brockenchack has gone from strength to strength, carving out a solid reputation for consistency and quality wines, reinforced by their most recent accolade of ‘Eden Valley Winery of the Year’ at the 2021 Melbourne International Wine Competition.
Brockenchack Vineyard is steeped in viticulture history, the land having been a working vineyard since 1896. It boasts what is believed to be some of Australia’s oldest Riesling vines. Priding themselves on minimal interference winemaking practices allows the quality of these vineyards to speak for themselves.
Brockenchack crafts 14 single-vineyard, cool-climate, vegan wines, which are each distinct in personality and flavour, but also have their own unique story to tell. Every wine in the Brockenchack collection is named after a cherished family member, or something of significance to the family.
With continual growth in production, Brockenchack is looking to expand their export markets around the globe. A partnership with Brockenchack is like joining the family. Not only will you be provided with support from their team, but you also have their guarantee that once the world opens to international travel again, they will visit your region, sharing family stories and tales from their Eden Valley vineyard, and providing first-hand insight into the wonderful world of Brockenchack Wines.

Winemaker Bio
Joanne Irvine’s winemaking career began at an early age, following her father James Irvine; “Master Merlot Maker” around the winery from age seven, undertaking the ritual tasting of ferments and wine blending.
In 2010 Jo established Wine Wise; a small batch processing facility in the Barossa to provide winemaking services to small, boutique producers.
Jo believes that great wines are created by synergy and attention to detail in both the vineyard and the winery. She strives for excellence and brings passion to the quality of the wines she produces for Brockenchack.
