Lifted watermelon and cranberry notes delight the nose with a promise of what’s to come. The palate is juicy and bright, tangy strawberries, a touch of redcurrant and a wonderful crisp red apple crunch on the finish. There’s a lick of spice adding complexity and it’s all rounded up with a deliciously dry finish.

Peter Douglas (Winemaker) Claire Davies (Viticulturist)

Winemaker Peter Douglas made a name for himself while working as a senior winemaker with Wynns Coonawarra Estate, a Penfolds label. Peter has also worked in California and Sicily, and is currently based in Coonawarra where he works with Eight at the Gate. Claire Davies is a Roseworthy trained viticulturist and prior to purchasing their vineyard, worked as a viticultural consultant to one of the most respected people within the global viticulture industry, Di Davidson.
