Deep crimson red in colour. Aromas of lifted dark cherries and blue fruits with undertones of stewed fruits, mulberry and satsuma plum balance a top elegant French oak. Medium to full palate weight, powerful flavours of spice, pepper and sumac. Structural powdery tannins provide a dry finish to compliment the dark fruits.

Peter Douglas (Winemaker) Claire Davies (Viticulturist)

Winemaker Peter Douglas made a name for himself while working as a senior winemaker with Wynns Coonawarra Estate, a Penfolds label. Peter has also worked in California and Sicily, and is currently based in Coonawarra where he works with Eight at the Gate. Claire Davies is a Roseworthy trained viticulturist and prior to purchasing their vineyard, worked as a viticultural consultant to one of the most respected people within the global viticulture industry, Di Davidson.
