Aromas of white peach and nectarine lead to a refined palate of distinctive stone fruit with hints of toasty vanilla complexity. This powerful expression of Chardonnay has a wonderful line and length with a persistent finish. Enjoy this wine with pan-fried ricotta gnocchi and sage butter.
Winemaker's Bio
Toni Pla Bou has worked in the wine industry for twenty five years, working for Houghton Wines, Coldstream Hills, Evans & Tate, Berton Vineyards and as a flying winemaker in Corsica, Roussillon, Gaillac and Corbière with Jean Marc Lafage. Studies in Philosophy and French have informed his understanding of wine, in relation to style, aesthetic and cultural value. Having a Catalonian heritage, Toni has always been passionate about wines from either side of the Pyrenean border: Grenache, Tempranillo, Grenache Blanc, Macabeo and more. Through his winemaking, Toni is inspired by the topographical and climatic affinities between the Alpine Valleys and the European Pyrenees.
