The Ensemble 2021

The word ensemble is derived from the French word meaning “together, at the same time”. The wine is a blend of 95% shiraz and 5% viognier, crushed on the same day and co-fermented, and thus made together from the start. The co-fermentation with viognier adds a vibrancy to the shiraz. There is a floral lift to the aromas, and the palate tends to be soft and juicy, less earthy than the 100% shiraz. Violet, cherry, plum fruits and aniseed rise from the glass. There is good depth of flavour on show while also providing a bright juiciness.
