Wine Description
Winemaking is a game of quick wit, experience and endurance. Each year Mother Nature challenges us and each year we respond. We know how to play the game. The resulting wine is captivating; light on its feet, yet full of character and perfect with food sourced from the land.
2019 was an excellent year with low yields and intense flavours. This Pinot is made from fruit from our two family vineyards in the Strathbogie Ranges. Fermented with wild yeasts, matured for five months in new (20%) and old (80%) French oak, and finished off with a dash of Sangiovese (15%) added to the final blend to build complex, dusty tannins in the wine, brighten the colour and add a savoury quality on the palate.
A medium bodied, cool climate Pinot Noir with wild red berries, cherry and savoury notes of bracken and earth. Drink to 2024.
