Wine Description
Winemaking is a game of quick wit, experience and endurance. Each year Mother Nature challenges us and each year we respond. We know how to play the game. The resulting wine is captivating; light on its feet, yet full of character and perfect with food sourced from the land.
2018 was an outstanding vintage and excellent weather conditions allowed grapes to ripen to optimum levels. A complex blend, two thirds of the fruit parcels were wild fermented to create further depth and texture. For 12 months this wine was matured with mostly French oak. A dash of Mourvèdre was added to provide a dark fruit perfume lift and add complexity to the palate.
A medium bodied Shiraz, balanced with juicy ripe fruits, cool climate spice, silky tannins and finessed French oak. Drink to 2024.
