Wine Description
Picked at around 10.5 baumé when fruit develops some lifted florals and flavours of “green apple” whilst retaining high acidity. At this level the unique Meslier varietal characters are obvious.
The base wines are very pale in colour with lifted apple fruit and crisp, racey acidity. Vintage wines are allowed to mature on yeast lees for 24-36 months before final blending with 40-50% of a younger vintage. A small amount of current vintage Cabernet Sauvignon is added to create the attractive pale rose colour.
Our Meslier Brut Rose is the only single varietal Meslier Rose produced in the world.

Winemaker's Bio
Barossa born multi trophy winning winemaker Joanne Irvine is a highly sought after, small batch wine making specialist. Jo left home to pursue a career spanning 18 years as a nurse until she had what she describes as a “mid- life crisis” and became a winemaker.
Creating wines since 1993, including vintages in Sonoma and Napa USA, Jo could never have guessed that at age 7, while following her winemaking father around a winery, she would have started a successful wine consulting company in 2003 and created her own dynamic wine brand in 2014, Levrier by Jo Irvine.
