Wine Description
Winemaking: Estate grown in our Lobethal vineyard ‘Schoenthal’ hand picked from Block A. Clones; Bernard 76 and 95. Hand picked, whole bunch pressed, free run juice only. Partial natural fermentation, multiple yeast strains. 30% new French oak, 60% malolactic fermentation, stirred and barrel aged 11 months.
Story: The Adelaide Hills wine region has the ability to produce some of the best Chardonnay in the world. Our vineyards with their high altitude and cooler than average conditions are the perfect site.
Taste: Fresh lemon, lime and hints of sulphites greet you on the nose. The palate displays a subtleness that keeps you coming back for more. Freshness greets the palate with flavours of white peach, grapefruit and guava, the wine is full bodied with a beautiful texture and finishes with a that traditional Chardonnay nutty creaminess.
