Wine Description
Winemaking: Estate grown in our Lobethal vineyard ‘Schoenthal’. Clones MV6 and 115. The cold Adelaide Hills nights help to retain natural acidity while the warm days ensure the flavour development. 6 months 20% new French oak allowed this wine to develop softly. Hand picked, 20% whole bunch fermented, cold soaked and hand plunged.
Story: This is just the beginning of our Pinot Noir story. This vintage tell the elegant story of our Lobethal vineyard through is light, pretty profile.
Taste: Earthy forest floor, sour cherry and sweet rhubarb compote on the nose. Bright acidity, flavours of cherry, strawberry, just a hint of smoked mushroom and truffle. The wine finishes with a gentle dryness.
