Wine Description
Contemporary Coonawarra at its finest. Powerful yet restrained, the combination of dark fruits, savoury notes and focused tannin results in a pure expression of Cabernet Sauvignon. A complex nose full of blackcurrant, plum, licorice and supporting French oak. The palate is concentrated and layered driven by a core of succulent fruit and structural balanced tannin. This is a wine of incredible depth, complexity and finesse.
Small batches fermented in 2T open fermenters. Natural yeast. Some parcels kept on skins for extended maceration.
18 months in french oak. 40% new oak, 40% second fill, 20% third fill. A selection of 6 french coopers used to increase complexity and balance.

Winemaker's Bio
Passion. Spontaneity. Soul. Just a few words that come to mind when we get ready to introduce our winemaker, Kate Goodman.
Kate is one of Australia's best contemporary winemakers. Wineries such as Wirra Wirra ( McLaren Vale), Tim Kanppstein (Clare Valley), Seppelt (Great Western), Punt Road (Yarra Valley) have all benefited from Kate's brilliance. There is no denial of talent and absolute harmony when it comes to Kate and the winery which we have witnessed each year since she started in 2016.
Her investment in us is what has fed their evolution into creating some spectacular contemporary varietals.
And with the addition of winemaker, Lauren Hansen, it's as though they have taken an almighty breath of fresh Coonawarra air and are totally inspired.
